The Old Man 00:40
I was walking alone in the forest where I met an old man. Wrinkled and grey, wearing tattered clothes. He looked me in the eye and he said, "I know who you are." And then he peeled off his mask.

Seminal pixels of influence, shaping my heart. Dangling judgments and thoughts and right and wrong. Preacher condemning your soul to hellfire or freezing cold. recoil from rational thought when you grow old. The cross. The sacrifice. The rules. The consequences. The wise men and the fools bludgeoning purpose. Tapering existence for all our dying breed. Opening up your soul for when you feed. Temperance waning in isolation in a frightened daze. Horrible. Horrible.

This candlelight vigil is like a block party, but I came to get pussy. That poor girl threw herself off that walk bridge, but I'm here because I'm thirsty. There's tears in the air. There's drugs in my pocket. Somebody grab a ghettoblaster and sock it to me now. There's a candlelight vigil for that woman who died, but I'm here with my friends just trying to have a good time. There's a candlelight vigil on my block tonight. That's right. Bust out the glow-in-the-dark bracelet and slap them on your wrists. Ignore that clergy with his bible, he just doesn't get it. Feel that powder hit your mind. Embrace me and kiss me hard. We're running out of time. We're throwing bottles on the lawn. Yeah!

I drink you in. A cold silhouette with surface humor and evil eyes, cold and light. Afraid. You are the abused, I am the doctor and our hearts are the staircase upon which we fell. Come to me, in my heart of hearts. Let's fly north for the winter, my newly found beauty. Drink me in and I promise to taste like truth. Kind eyes sweltering and dark. Braver than I've ever been now, my love. Forget about convention for a second. Inhale. Hold on to a hand-me-down soul. Tell the kids I had to leave, but I'll make it up to them. It's so simple I could just vomit. All these petty fakers surrounded by cowards and liars. Don't count on me ever coming back. Life isn't fair, but isn't that what we're running from? Don't you get it? I roll over and touch them in my dreams and i wake up screaming! In the meantime, you'll end up in off-white heaven and I'll end up in Halloween hell and our parents will tell us that we're handsome and we'll believe them. There is an oath that takes place between dying and dead. This is an oath I will never take. I thought we had a deal.

That Man 03:52
I'm here with arms wide open, stuck in a dusty throne. My heart is whole, but broken. My soul has turned to stone. It's not a competition. It's a journey, man. Perplexed with indecision. Boycotting all I can. I'm not that man anymore. Haunting the same gold ballrooms in a dirty gown. Resume the journey downward. Yeah, you've been around. Those corpses make a sound! Remember me as I once was. A constellation prize for my abandonment.

Remains 00:16
They found my body in a ditch several miles outside the city limits. By the time they had gotten to it, it had been there for several weeks. According to the newspapers, the search parties had been put on hold. You know, because of the Holidays.

Last night at the train station, you looked into my eyes. You said, "I just can't do this." And then you walked toward that darkening sky. After those words you said to me, I will never be the same. It feels like we're headed on two different trains. After you broke your hand from mine and I sat down in my seat, I was seized with feelings of panic and defeat. I lightly dozed off as I listened to the rain. It feels like we're headed on two different trains.

Bleeding sequins and morose lampshades accentuate the ravenous window treatments. While the virtually new Mexican leather davenport leers at the virgin cherry wood armoire with open arms. The potentially convulsive rocking chair sits dead on the blood red carpet which contrasts against hospital-white walls. The coffee tables stands in the middle like a victim and end tables are placed like petrified witnesses. A teapot screams from the kitchen. The lights switch off and the ottoman cowers in the far right corner and it went a little something like this. Are you sad? You should be. You're dying. Are you happy? You should be. You're pacified. Are you angry? I would be. You're being lied to. Are you afraid? Don't be. 'Cause baby, I'm here for you. I often wonder, if you were to wear a suit, three piece, to the shower, first thing in the afternoon, would blood transfusions make you thirsty? And if you were to cut your wrist and let the warm blood trickle into the mouth of your dead enemy, would there be resolve between you and the Four Horsemen of The Apocolypse? If not, I'll just chew my stitches and catch a tan near the Arc of The Covenant. Fairwell, true believer don't forget to write.

Alone in a sea of strangers. Familiar music playing on the speakers. An emptiness washes over me as the ligaments in my face create a smile that is meant for something just beyond my reach. And I close my eyes, briefly and picture your soft skin the the darkness, girl. I want to come home tonight. I just really want to see your face tonight.
